my younger brother has recently been diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes, since this happened I've learnt that there's so much more to diabetes than people think, I've set up this page to raise awareness and also from time to time hope to do some fundraising! 

we are still getting our head round it ourselves and it's completely changed our lifestyle, due to the illness and having to have insulin injections 3-4 times a day, he now has to control what he eats and do carb counts and match this to the amount of insulin he needs in order to keep his sugar levels under control.

Theres still a lot to learn and I will update the page as we go along and learn it ourselves, but he is coping okay at the moment whilst working alongside the diabetic team.
