Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I never met my grandad. He suffered from angina but died in his sleep of Coronary Thrombosis, many years ago, at such a young age of 53. Coronary Thrombosis is a form of thrombosis affecting the coronary circulation (restricting the flow of blood to the heart).
I’ve heard many stories about him but unfortunately we never got the chance to make memories. My grandad missed out on a lot, but for someone I never met, I feel like I knew him well and that’s thanks to my nana and father for keeping his memory alive with stories about him. He was a hard working man and loved his family so much and I know he would have loved me. I often sit and wonder why he was taken away so soon and would give anything to have him here. I am so close to my father and my nana. It saddens me to think my father has been without his father and my nana without her husband for so long.
If I could have one wish, it would be to spend a day with him, I know he will be with me in spirit on race day.
This is why I chose to run the Edinburgh Half Marathon for the British Heart Foundation. Your support is important to me and my chosen charity.
