Forty ‘fings’ for Lea.
Today (3rd September) my sister, Leanne Carroll, should be celebrating her 40th birthday. It breaks my heart that this is not possible, but I want to mark what should have been a huge celebration and milestone in her life. So I have decided to give the next year over to her and I will be doing forty ‘fings’ for Lea.
Over the next twelve months, I will be completing a series of challenges/tasks that are all connected to Leanne in some way, and raising some money for a number of charities including Mind and the RAF Benevolent fund along the way.
Leanne was healthy, fit and strong, fearless and up for any challenge. I am the opposite. I like spending my time reading a book, watching a film or having a glass of red, and I have a serious addiction to sugar! I am terrified of heights, don’t like exercise and just the thought of getting sweaty makes me feel cold. But that is all going to change!
I already have a short list of some of the challenges, including doing a Tough Mudder next year (Wtf?!), but I am open to suggestions from those who knew Leanne well. My first challenges will all be about getting fit - eeeek.
I will be posting my ‘fings’ on Facebook and Instagram and would love it if any of you would like to get involved or nominate a challenge.
Happy birthday little sis. This year is yours x
