Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In March i am setting myself a challenge to raise money for our hospital QEQM to help us maintain a high quality of care and to also help our Dementia patients feel safer in an unfamiliar environment. This can be extremely scary for them and can make them very anxious. I would like to raise funds that could go towards things like Dementia boxes to help them when they are with us and also some dolls/soft toys to give them comfort. These dementia boxes will be distributed across the wards on the surgical floor. They would include some games, Colouring books, colouring pencils, history books ,photos, fidget toys and many other things. I will be working alongside the dementia team to make sure these are perfect. Along with this i will be rising money for some item like TVs and DVD players so that some of the patients that do not have tablets can watch tv to keep them entertained. Our wards/units are also in need of equipment to help patients maintain their independence allowing them to go home sooner and to also get some items like ipads so patients can speak/see their family’s. We want to be the best we can be and make sure that our patients are cared for to the highest standard and feel welcome when on our wards. I am also raising money to make sure that every child that gets admitted to hospital gets a toy. Due to the Pandemic we are unable to keep toys for them to play with in hospital but we can raise money so they can have a toy to play with in hospital that will be theirs to keep and take home when they are better.
