Story

Aiming Higher is the Blackpool based charity that supports hundreds of local children and their families. The charity has been bringing the families of children with disabilities together for 10 years. Last year we brought families back together after lockdown with family events such as Soft Play, the Cinema and the Zoo, as well as parties for Christmas and the Jubilee. These events are always incredibly popular with many selling out in a matter of minutes showing the need for such events is high. For many families with children with extra needs, getting out & about can be a challenge, logistically &emotionally. Whether it's because they struggle to manage equipment or feel people are judging their childs need-based behaviour as naughty, many families dont feel able to go out alone. Aiming Higher also offer groups for the Under 5s, Counselling, a youth group for young people with Autism & Family Support. Every penny raised will help us to help families feel less isolated.
