We are having a non-uniform day on Friday 21st July to raise money for the charity Cancer Research UK and are asking for a minimum donation of £2 per student.

As you know Karen Ashcroft sadly passed away from cancer on 3rd July 2022 and we would like to honour her memory by raising as much money for her chosen charity.

Karen was a much loved teacher at Garstang Community Academy and always brought maths to life in the classroom with her razor sharp wit, difficult to match!

Staff at GCA will miss Karen dearly but feel privileged to have worked alongside her and to also have her as a friend. Karen certainly brought life to the maths department. Always sharing a funny limerick or two during our lunch break - her wit and humour second to none.
