Story
Hello everyone!
Thanks for visiting this page. We know in this current economic climate, and with cutbacks on employment, the case for fundraising for our GB Deaf Men has never been harder. Deaf people struggle more than hearing people to gain successful employment. With UK Deaf Sport finding their funding cut from UK Sport, and the FA never giving GB Deaf finanical support, fundraising for GB Deaf has become very bleak.
We appeal to you to donate towards GB Men's quest for glory at the 7th European Championships in Denmark. GB Men have an amazing and successful history despite all the odds stacked against them as deaf people. GB Men achieved a Silver medal having lost 2-1 to current champions France. Gutted, deflated and worn out, the boys returned to GB with a promise made to each other, to come back and clinch that Gold.
This page will to contribute money to GB for their players and officials. The GB officials are:
Philip Gardner - Team Manager
Ayad Sarraf - Assistant Manager
Chris McGinn - Head Coach
Mark Gill - Coach / Project Manager
Jessica Hyde - Logistics Manager
The time is ripe, the boys are training very hard, and with the additional finanical pressure looming over all of them, which no doubt impacts on their physical and mental training, we urge you to dig deep. A little bit goes a long way. Perhaps you would like to host a fundraising event? If so, please do get in touch with GB's fundraisers Mark Gill and Jessica Hyde (markgill04@btinternet.com and wolfchick@hotmail.com)
Many thanks,
GB Deaf Men
