Story
During 2024 I will be taking on not one, not two, but three cycling challenges to raise as much money as possible for Prostate Cancer UK.
Challenge one: A 200 mile ride in one day. (June 2024). This route will take me across North Wales along national cycle route 5 and then onto Bangor and Caerarfon. Then looping back around through Porthmadog, Bala, Corwen and Llangollen, before the final stretch back home via Ellesmere.
Challenge two: A 24 hour ride. (July 2024). The route for this challenge is still to be finalised, but will be planning to keep the route local to home to allow for ease of access for food and toilet breaks. But the aim is to complete 24 hours in the saddle!
Challenge three: "Ride Across Britain" - Lands End to John o' Groats. (September 2024).
More info: Ride Across Britain - The UK's premier Land's End to John O'Groats Cycle
To round things off with a nice steady ride.! starting in Lands End (Sept 7th), and then completing on average 105 miles per day for 9 consecutive days ending in John o' Groats (Sept 15th).
Prostate cancer affects 1 in 8 men in the UK. That's thousands of dads, grandads, partners, brothers, uncles, sons and mates. But it doesn't have to be this way. The money you raise will help fund lifesaving research into better tests and treatments
