Story
This year I climbed Mount Everest for the sixth time in 11 years and I summited finally on 20th May 2011 at 10.00am. All that perseverance has enabled me to raise funds for Moving Mountains which is the charity that I started in the early 90's and is now doing so much good work in Kenya and Nepal and Borneo.
Actually over the past 11 years MM has grown hugely; I can hardly believe it. Thousands of trees being planted in Borneo, continued social welfare work in Kenya and Nepal, and especially the Solio project where we are building whole villages for thousands or refugees. And we still manage things well - sustainable development which is successful and relevant.
Thanks to the army of loyal supporters! Thanks ever so much for your support, the charity I started is great because of the support and I'm so proud of what it has become. I love mountaineering but I particularly like that my individual achievement can benefit so many people.
We still need donations for Moving Mountains, and I hope that my story of small adventures on big mountains is enough to inspire you to make a small donation to a big cause. Thank you!
