Story
Sian was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia in September 2021. Earlier that year, with very few symptoms: tiredness and shortness of breath whilst running, she started undergoing tests which led to her diagnosis.
She had a stem cell transplant in April 2022 from a very kind person who was a complete stranger yet matched Sian - hard to believe I know....we truly thought she was unique!
This was all made possible because of Anthony Nolan. Every day, Anthony Nolan saves the lives of people like Sian with blood cancer. They do this by matching incredible individuals willing to donate their stem cells to people who desperately need a lifesaving transplant. They also carry out cutting edge scientific research, fund specialist post-transplant support and beyond. Blood cancer is on the increase and their mission is to try and save the lives of everyone who needs a stem cell transplant. Every penny you donate brings them closer to that so no matter how small, please help if you can.
We all know how lucky Sian has been and if I can help by raising funds so that other families can get the same opportunity, it will be worth it - it's also our way of saying thank you.
