I’m Gavin, I’m 30 and I love my friends and family. A big part of my family are my two stray cats. (Beau and Rinky) Beau turned up on my mums doorstep looking for some love. She had some kittens and we kept one and named her Rinky. They help us eat tuna, they are security guards against spiders and flies and they are always available for a hug if we are ever fed up. 

 

On April the 17^th 2011, I will be running the London Marathon. A dream come true for me and a nightmare to most people. Instead of running for one of the massive charities I’ve chosen a charity that is very small and only has 5 spaces allocated to them. The charity I’m running for is the “Cats Protection” They do an amazing job of looking after our cats in the UK. Each year they help more than 193,000 cats and kittens through a network of over 250 volunteer-run branches and 29 adoption centres.

 

If you love cats or if you love me and can spare some money towards helping me reach my goal then please, please donate whatever you can. Every penny helps me towards my target.

 

Here are a selection of things your money could help towards… 

£5 could pay for a cats litter tray, scoop and food dish,

£10 could buy an 'igloo' for an elderly cat to curl up inside and keep warm,

£50 could vaccinate a kitten against flu viruses, entertis, leukaemia and other serious diseases.
