Story
Gary was sadly diagnosed with a Gastro-intestinal stromal tumours (a type of soft tissue sarcoma found in the stomach and intestines commonly known as GIST) in September 2014. It is a very rare form of cancer, so Gary was extremely unlucky to contract the disease. Despite having major surgery to remove the tumour in October 2015, he sadly lost his brave fight only 5 months later.
Given the rarity of the cancer and the fact that in some cases GISTs can respond well to certain drugs we wanted to raise some money to help others deal with this dreadful disease.
We know Gary had many friends and associates and we want to ask for their help and support to raise some money instead of sending flowers to his funeral.
We will be embarking on further fundraising activities later in the year to meet our target, so please keep an eye on this Just Giving page.
Thank you for all your support.
