Story
Well I did it - thanks very much for all your support. I did it in 2hours 30mins which was slower than I had trained but given the heat, the hills and the 54,000 people trying to get the same piece of tarmac as me I am still quite happy. A great day and a great charity to inspire me - I only feel these aches and pains for a few days more and the people you have all helped to support deal with it every day of their lives so thank you on their behalf - I know that they are grateful !! x
Hello and thanks for Visiting my Great North Run 2009 FundRaising Page for the Arthritis Research Campaign.
As some of you will know I work at Wrightington Hospital in Lancashire which is a centre of excellence for treating arthritis and orthopaedic patients. I see first hand the disability and suffering that this still incurable disease causes and hope that we can raise lots of money for ARC so that they can continue the great work that they do.
I have never run this distance and so whatever you can spare will help the hard work and pain worthwhile !!!
