Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

On the 16th January 2012, eleven of us will be climbing Kilimanjaro in memory of Gary Haynes who was taken from us far too soon in August 2010.

Gary was a genuine, honest and all round great guy who is loved and missed by many. To climb Kilimajaro was an ambition of Gary's before he fell ill, so we decided to take on this challenge and make him proud through raising money for a local centre for cancer patients whilst achieving his dream.

The Penny Brohn cancer centre relies totally upon charitable donations such as what we are hoping to achieve. They offer complementary therapies, advice, and counselling for people living with cancer and their families. These services are given free of charge which provide people with invaluable support at a difficult time in their lives.

Each member of this troup will be self funding the trip to ensure that every penny you donate will go straight to where Gary would have wanted it to be (no, not behind the bar) but at the Penny Brohn centre.

Whether your donation be large or small we appreciate it.

Thank You.

Kerri Summers, Carrie Williams, Sharmain Davis, Claire Webber, Laura Collett, Rachel Ozanne, George Henson, Patrick Feltham, Matthew Cleeves, Adam Brown and Mike Gallagher.

P.s - Wish us luck, we will definitely need it!
