Story
Unfortunately due to a painful ankle injury I am unable to take part on this event - please stay posted as will definitely do a 24 hour race as soon as possible after recovery
I am taking on a solo challenge at Endure 24 in late July this year. Most people take part in this as part of a team, but I have set myself this challenge to raise much needed funds for Albion in the Community (AITC)
It’s a charity locally supported through the company Work for and I have always been touched and amazed by what the people that the charity support are capable of. They are in ways less fortunate to you and me, but do amazing things with a smile on their faces, when it must be incredibly hard to do so in some cases
Although I run (a lot) this challenge is going to push me to the limits causing sleep deprivation as well as trying to keep moving for as much of the 24 hours it runs for.
I want to push myself out of my comfort zone just for a very small period compared to what these children and adults do for all of their lives and couldn’t be prouder to represent a charity that I know supports the community as well on many levels as described below by AITC
Please dig deeply as much as you can and please please sponsor me no matter or little as every £ will help. In an injury prone year I know it’s still going to be a struggle for the whole time, but aim to do it with a smile on my face and give it the best I have on the day
More details of the event can be found at https://endure24.co.uk and it will take part in a location in Henley from noon on Saturday 24th July to noon on Sunday 25th July 2021
