Story
I am doing this in memory of both Sharon's and my mum, Bridie and Nellie, who were taken by cancer without the benefit of the care and support offered by Hospices like the Heart of Kent. It has long been my belief that if god had wanted us to walk he would never have given us driving licences, so you can just imagine the pain this is going to cause. Apparently they check if you are cheating.
The Moonlit Memories Walk is one of the Heart of Kent Hospice's largest events. It is instrumental in bringing in vital funds that are needed to help our patients both in the Hospice and in their own homes. Your donation could help to pay for specialist nurses or our Dementia Team. It could help to run their Making Memories programme, which provides patients with enjoyable activities, while their carers meet separately, and receive advice support to help them cope or it could run their Bereavement drop-in, or many other vital services which are provided by Heart of Kent Hospice. If you'd like to join them, you can register via their website at hokh.org/support-us/events/
