Story

SANDS are running a campaign for 310,000 steps in October, I am going to attempt 500,000 ! I usually do 8,000 steps a day so will be a big challenge, no matter what the weather !!

It’s now 3 years since amazing people helped me raise over £2,000 for SANDS by supporting me whilst I completed the Manchester Half Marathon 2017 - this I did from couch to half marathon in 12ish months. .

I was hoping to do something similar to raise money this year but events have stopped this from happening and SANDS are running this campaign.

I have decided to challenge myself more than the 310,000 steps, and make it 500,000 steps ( or half a million as that sounds better :) )

On the 28th March 2013 I had the most amazing and heartbreaking moment of my life.

Little Riley was born making me a dad, however he was premature and didn't make it to see this world. I heard him cry once, one cry I will NEVER forget. One cry that could have broken my family or made it stronger, thanks to SANDS we have come out of it stronger.

There is not a day goes by when I don't wonder what he'd be like now, what we'd be doing as a family & what memories we would be making.

As a thank you to SANDS for all their hard work I would be grateful if you could sponsor me so they can continue to do their great work.
