Having applied for the London Marathon 5 times and not been successful, I decided it was time to apply for a place via a charity so I can complete one before my 50th in 2024 - I'm pleased to say I've been successful in gaining a place via the fantastic Whizz Kidz charity.

Over 75,000 young people in the UK need to use a wheelchair to be mobile. Unfortunately, they cannot access the equipment that meets their needs through local services. Whizz Kidz are here for all of them. Whizz Kidz are the UK’s leading charity supporting young wheelchair users up to 25 years old. They empower young wheelchair users with the equipment, support, and confidence-building experiences they need to take an active role in society. The Whizz Kidz goal is to create a movement for progress towards a more open and accessible world.
