I have had asthma all my life, people aren’t aware of how debilitating it is, and how it affects people’s lives.

Every 10 seconds someone has a potentially life threatening asthma attack and three people die every day. Tragically the majority of these could be prevented, whilst others suffer with asthma so severe current treatments don’t work. This has to change.

Asthma UK work to stop asthma attacks and, ultimately cure asthma by funding world leading research and scientists, campaigning for improved care and supporting people with asthma to reduce their risk of a potentially life threatening asthma attack. 

Asthma UK are entirely funded by voluntary donations.

• In the UK, 5.4 million people are currently receiving treatment for asthma
• Three people die every day because of asthma

In this world where many Illnesses are eradicated, Asthma is still a fatal condition much more research is needed to save lives
