We are looking to raise £5000 by 24 March so that Amr nazir will have a full body wax and head shave!

We are also rowing a Marathon (as a gym) on the same day.

Amr has a HUGE EGO and loves his head hair!! And in support of Danny (who happens to be bald already), Amr has agreed to lose ALL of his hair...

But, only if we can raise £5000 by 24 March.

A steep challenge, but one we are confident that we can reach with the help and support of kind-hearted and generous members of the general public.

Here's the reason why...

In late February, one of our Gym members (Danny Whitworth) was diagnosed with lung cancer. Aged only 36!

Striving to improve himself in all aspects of his life, Danny has been a member of Forever-Strong for nearly 2 years and has participated himself in many charitable activities in support of Springhill Hospice and Melanoma UK.

Danny's fitness life has always been a struggle. A constant yo-yo of achieving results, only to let them fade as he often lost his mojo.

Having stuck with us for nearly 2 years, he has continued with this long enough to see some huge results.

Not only has he improved his own physical and mental health, but Forever-Strong has enabled him to start amateur boxing coaching with local children at Middleton Select ABC, helping the next generation get fit and learn of the benefits of being healthy and active for life.

In fact, Danny has turned around his own personal fitness that much that his doctor commented that apart from his cancer, Danny is in as good a shape as he can be to tackle this disease.

After a lengthy chat with Danny, it was clear that he was keen to meet his future head on and really look to be positive in his outlook.

So much so, that we have planned out any training he could be doing and also making sure that his nutrition is as good as it can be to aid his recovery.

As a gym, we intend to support Danny where possible and this starts with raising awareness for this disease, whilst also ensuring that much-needed funds go towards research, patient care and support as required for Danny and the many others suffering from Lung Cancer.
