Having only just recently got into proper cylcling this year it was put to me about embarking on this mad idea from my friend Dave Stevens , drink actually hadn't been taken either.

I'd done a couple of half marathons in the last couple of years and really enjoyed them but never fund raised and really fancied the idea of something a little more challenging and if doing so made sense to raise some money in the process.

It was difficult knowing what charity to choose but a cancer one seems to affect us all directly or indirectly in our lives and CLIC Sargent does great work for children and families.

Not only is there the challenge of the distance remember a middle age man in lycra is not a great look :-)
