Story
Team Ash are once again taking part in the annual Manchester to Blackpool bike ride in Memory of our son Ashley Livesey.
We lost Ashley our fantastic 15 year old son in march 2004 due to a sudden adult death cause, Ashley was representing his school Royton and Crompton in an inter schools cross country championship event.
Whilst Getting to the half way point Ashley suddenly collapsed and was unable to be revived by bystanders or paramedics who arrived a short time later!!!! We as a family was and still are Completely devastated at How a perfectly fit healthy 15 year old can suddenly lose his life in such a way!!!.
Since that terrible time we have as family and friends formed Team Ash Taking part in many fundraising events to help raise awareness into Sudden Adult Death syndrome and help by providing life saving defibrillators and a heart monitor to our local communities, we have organised many different types of fundraising events to help raise funds which has led to us to be able to purchase 5 defibrillators with cabinets that are available for public use.
The first defibrillator we provided was for Ashley's school royton and crompton which is currently housed within the school but if needed when the school is closed this can not be accessed, so we are aiming to purchase a lockable steel cabinet that can be accessed by the emergency services and general public through the 999 service, and so we are looking for your much needed help by any donations however small to help us raise our current target of £500 which would enable us to purchase an illuminated heated cabinet for us to place outside the school near the outdoor football pitches.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story and if possible any donations would be gratefully appreciated, thank you Gary and Julie Livesey Team Ash.
