Story
Stella , our rescue doggie , came to us just a year ago , a neglected , maltreated ,grossly underweight and unloved little ex breeding cavachon who had been bred almost to the brink of death. Within a few months she turned into a healthy happy doggie with a huge personality and an amazing zest for life . She’s loved beyond words and has changed our lives but without charities like FOAW she would not have had that second chance of a happy life with a family who adore her .....
Without that second chance she wouldn’t be alive today BUT she is and she will be walking with me and her doggie brothers. When she can’t walk I will be pushing her in her buggy and by hook or by crook we will complete our VIRTUAL challenge to walk the 1084 miles from Lands End to John O’Groats to raise much needed funds for this wonderful charity ....( We are doing this through a website that syncs with my FitBit and I get sent postcards each day to see which part of the UK I have 'virtually' arrived at. In real life, because of the Welsh lockdown, I will be walking around the valleys local to my house. The plan is for me and Stella to walk 10 miles a day.)
Friends of Animals Wales is a small animal charity in the Welsh Valleys. The founder Eileen Jones has dedicated much of her life to rescuing animals who desperately need a second chance in life. Friends of Animals Wales is run solely by volunteers and they work around the clock to make a difference to the animals who may not have had a good start in life.
