Story

On 29/5/21 I will be cycling from Derby to Skegness covering exactly 100 miles raising funds and awareness for Dementia UK in memory of my amazing Grandad Vincent ☺️

I wanted to set myself a challenge whilst also including precious memories I have with Grandad.

I remember him taking me out cycling as a young boy either on my own bike or on the back of his. We would always leave from Shaw Street (his old house) where our bikes were stored taking up most of his shed ☺️

I also have so many great childhood memories of my trips to good old Skeggy with Grandad. One memory that sticks with me is being stood at the clock tower making a phone call to get my GCSE results. As nervous as I was I knew all would be ok no matter what as I was stood with my Nan and Grandad ❤️
We then went on to celebrate in true Grandad style with fish and chips 😁

It is for such reasons above that it feels perfect to start the challenge from Shaw Street Derby and finish at the Clock Tower in Skegness 👌🏼

I now have 20 weeks to train and prepare. Any help, support or donations will be greatly appreciated

LETS GO 🚴🏼‍♂️
