Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I first came into contact with Teens Unite when I was invited by a friend and supporter of the charity to the teens Fashion show in 2015. After meeting some of the young people supported by the charity and hearing their inspirational stories, I was keen to become more involved with Teens Unite and help make a difference to teenagers and young adults fighting cancer. I joined the board as a trustee for the charity in August 2015.
Teens Unite is dedicated to supporting over 800 young people
with cancer from the age of 13 up until their 25th Birthday. The
charity supports teenagers by giving them the opportunity to meet other young people in similar situations and give them hope throughout the stages of treatment and remission by running regular days out such as concerts, football matches and art and beauty workshops.
Last year having been inspired by the brave teenagers I
decided to create, sponsor and participate in the Couch Classic, in memory of my Farther, Gerry Couch, who sadly passed away a few months prior to the event. The cycle challenge was held for friends and family on the island of Mallorca, where my farther had lived. We covered 140 miles of the island and raised an incredible £15,798.86 for Teens Unite.
This year, Islandbridge Capital Limited has teamed up with
Sunseeker London Limited to evolve and expand the event. We are hoping to have 40 Cyclists participating, covering over 150 Miles of the island! This year we are aiming to raise over £40,000.00 for Teens Unite.
