Story
Gareth and I will be wild dipping, in sea, lake, river or pond throughout May, as part of the Bay Fitness Flippers team. Whilst this may not seem like much of a challenge having completed a year of dipping, we need to dust off our dry robes and get back into it when the waters are near their coldest. Added challenges of finding a safe place to dip whilst travelling will need to be overcome.
We all know family, friends, neighbours and colleagues who have been adversely affected by cancer, and in recent times it has become more important than ever to support charities like Maggies. We hope to raise lots of money to support their efforts. This is what they say…
‘Maggies Swansea needs your help now more than ever. We’re here giving the best possible support to people with cancer and their families at this incredibly difficult time.We know lockdown has been difficult for everyone, especially those living with cancer. We are happy to say that we are seeing people face-to-face. We also still have one to one phone, skype, facetime and email support. Our online community, run by psychologists, cancer support specialists and benefits advisors, is there to answer questions directly for those continuing to stay at home.Everything we do depends on your kindnessWe will always be there for people with cancer but we need you alongside us. Please do whatever you can to help by supporting us today.’
