We support young people at risk of suicide to stay safe and find hope in times of need

Story

PAPYRUS is the national Charity for the Prevention of Young Suicide. Suicide is the biggest killer of young people under the age of 35 in the UK, in 2018 over 1800 young people took their own lives. PAPYRUS provides confidential support and advice to young people struggling with thoughts of suicide, and anyone worried about a young person through their helpline, HOPELINEUK. Every £5 raised can help pay for a life-saving contact to HOPELINEUK. Your donations really are lifesaving, thank you.

Steven was a typical lad in his 20s who loved his cars and his mates . He was a typical brother who loved his sisters and wanted to support them in the best way he could , a typical son , loving, argumentative, busy but not wanting to go out , coming in late and becoming tired . All those things . Then he took his own life leaving devastation for all that knew him, particularly for his family .

I am completing a number of running events in his memory this year , raising money to provide support for young people who may be considering suicide. The main one will be the Chester half marathon in May 2023. The relevance of this is because he ran it a few years ago, not because he wanted to but because he wanted to support his sister who was anxious about completing it. Please give generously
