Story
This time on Sunday night I will hopefully have completed my biggest ever challenge of a 2.4 mile swim followed by a 112 mile bike followed by a 26.2 mile run at the Outlaw ironman triathlon. I am doing this in memory of my cousin Craig Dargue who passed away due to skin cancer. All money raised will go to St Cuthberts hospice in Durham, who looked after him. Please donate what you can as every penny will push me further on the day.
A huge thank you to everyone who has made a donation to my charity. Your money will go a long way to helping those that need it in their final days.
Thank you to everyone who has been able to donate to my charity. It will give me even more motivation to complete the Outlaw ironman triathlon
Thank you for not only spending the time but also donating your money to my chosen charity.
My cousin Craig was diagnosed with skin cancer of which he thought he had beaten. Unfortunately he had not and it quickly took its hold on him and he deteriated very quickly.
Craig was a very fit and active person who loved mountain biking and pushing himself to the limits. This was evident when in his final days, because even when his body had given up his heart wouldn't and kept going for 10 days as it was so strong.
Craig was a loving husband and father, and most of all an all round nice guy.
It is therefore fitting that my biggest ever challenge in my life should have some link to him. I will be completing the 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike and 26.2 mile run in memory of him and i know that when i feel like giving up he will give me the push to keep going.
Please donate whatever you can and lets make a big splash in a little pond for St Cuthbert's.
