Virgin London Marathon 2011 · 17 April 2011 ·
If you've come here it's because I asked you to, so thank you so much.
I ran this race last year, but I was lucky to get a free spot through my work. As I stood at the start line I was overwhelmed by the amount of people running for charities, and one charity I saw again and again was CLIC Sargent, a charity that provides support and care during, and after the treatment of children with cancer, and support for their familes who have lost their children to this horrible disease.
As I ran round the course I saw the CLIC Sargent support teams shouting, whistling, and urging their runners on, and I saw so many little children who'd survived cancer, or were even living with it that very day, that I knew I had to support and run for them this year.
I know that these are tough times for us all but if you can spare a little, or even not buy that last round at the bar, and support CLIC Sargent I'd be incredibly honoured to run the marathon for them ,and for you.
