We offer a network of care to life limited & life threatened children

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Cyclists Gareth Owen & David Bickley have taken on the sponsored challenge to cycle from Home Bargains store in Perry Barr One Stop to their head office in Liverpool.  We will complete the challenge over 2 days & raise much needed funds for The Acorns Children's Hospice.

Acorns Children’s Hospice offers a network of care for life limited and life threatened children and young people, and their families

The charity provides tailored nursing care for each child; short breaks, emergency and end of life care at each of its three hospices based at Selly Oak in Birmingham, Walsall and Worcester.

These children and young people are not expected to reach adulthood and require specialist care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It costs £7,500 per day to run each hospice

Community Fundraiser Joanne Danaher said ““We rely on the generosity of the community for the bulk of our funding, so we are very grateful to Gareth & David for choosing to support Acorns with their challenge. We wish them good luck & a safe journey.”
