Story

Autism is a broad spectrum which affects every person diagnosed differently, requiring varying levels of care. There is no cure for Autism.

Autism is a disability that I knew very little about until my daughter, Ida, was diagnosed at 2 1/2 years old.

Ida is 7 years old now, non verbal, has significant learning difficulties and attends a special needs school. Ida is also a very happy, loving, caring little girl who loves dancing and playing tag. We now, as a family, get to live our lives with special needs a huge part of it.

Ida shows us daily how even though she can’t speak, she can love, she can care and she can have fun.

I’m running the marathon to raise money for a charity very close to my heart and to help people living with Autism and to raise awareness for people with Autism.
