In September I will competing in the New Forest Marathon. I have decided to run on behalf of Forever Hounds Trust because they are a charity very close to my heart. They do amazing work rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming Greyhounds and Lurchers. 

I adopted a Greyhound called Kelly from Forever Hounds Trust some 11 years ago. A sweet girl who proved to be my inspiration and motivation for fundraising for Forever Hounds Trust. Over the past decade I have climbed mountains trekked through amazing places worldwide and done a bit of running. This will be my first marathon for Forever Hounds Trust and only my second ever marathon. Last year I adopted a Lurcher from Forever Hounds Trust called Jed. He’s such a character and keeps me on my toes. So I am running for Jed, in memory of Kelly and on behalf of every sighthound connected with such an amazing charity. 

My first attempt at the marathon distance was in 2021. I did the “virtual London Marathon” It was a tough experience but I did cross the finish line. I’m hoping that experience will help me this time as I embark on running 26.2 miles.
