Thanks for taking the time to visit us here on t'internet.
Gareth Coulson, (the tallest man in Teesside) is this year breaking his South Shields duck and dusting off his Nike Air Max '92s to raise money for The Butterwick Hospice by running the GREAT NORTH RUN 2009. Ably accompanied by his brother Adam, Gareth intends to complete the blister-bursting 13.2 miles from Newcastle to South Shields in one piece ready for a Ham & Pease-puddin' Stottie and a bottle o' Brown Ale at the finish.
This is no mean feat for a man more accustomed to underwater/engine-based pursuits and certainly not the rubber on tarmac he's used to. Adam meanwhile, is aiming to run fast enough not to get beat by Scooby Doo or a Pantomime Horse.
As you may know, Gareth & Adam's dad, Dave Coulson was cared for by the good people at The Butterwick Hospice in Stockton on Tees where he died in November 2006.
The Brothers' Slimm are running to raise awareness and funds in aid of The Butterwick so if you have £5 or whatever you can spare to help the incredible job being done by The Butterwick, we'd be over the moon (and might be able to save enough money so we don't have to share the same Vaseline...)
Big Big Thanks x
Gareth & Adam
