Story
We're kicking of the #gardenhappy challenge to raise money for Thrive and for us all to show the world how gardening really can make you happy! We're calling all gardeners and that includes you to take a garden/flower picture or a video and share with the world why gardening makes you happy and donate to Thrive a charity that uses gardening to positively change lives through gardening therapy.
Our aim is to raise at least £5,000 for Thrive. This could make a significant impact on people's lives. Just £60 can fund a therapeutic gardening session for clients with mental or physical health disabilities.
Here's how to take part in the challenge:
- Post a picture of a garden, flower, you or all three and tell us why why gardening makes you happy.
- Please also make a donation to Thrive, a charity that changes lives through gardening.
- Pass it on…Share your video on social media using the #GardenHappy hash-tag @friends in to tell us all why they're #gardenhappy and ask them to make a donation to Thrive.
A photo is a great way to show something in your garden that makes you happy. Whether it's a favourite flower, a garden shot or simply just relaxing in a sanctuary that you've created. If it makes you #gardenhappy that's only a positive thing.
You can donate through this page, or by texting THRI53 and the amount you'd like to donate to 70070.
So are you up for the challenge? Lets show the world that gardeners are a happy bunch and spread a whole lot of joy.
If you don't want to take a photo or video, please try and donate:
