Story
Gamma is celebrating its 20th Anniversary by taking on a pan-European challenge. We’re taking a trip around our offices and welcoming all our people, our suppliers, and our customers to join us in our adventures!
We’ve got two different challenges to take part in – one is decidedly
more exhausting, linking up our UK offices by pedal power alone. Three brave teams of people will be cycling 3 different routes – from Glasgow to Manchester on 12 July, from Manchester to Newbury on 13 July, and finally we’ll be hooking up Newbury, Port Solent and the London office on 14 July. That’s a total of 586 miles with a 9500m ascent!
During that same week (11-15 July) we’re asking our Gamma family, in the UK and Europe, to join us in travelling across Europe virtually and by any means – pedal power, walking, swimming, cross-training, football……all you have to do is record your kilometres (or miles) and together we’ll go the distance. And what a distance it is – to hook up all of our offices it’s about 8,500km (5,297 miles).
Whilst we’re burning off the calories, we’re asking for sponsorship to raise money for our chosen charity which is UNICEF. UNICEF work supports all of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs), including the four that were chosen by Gamma back in 2021 (Goals 5, 8, 10, and 13). UNICEF works with governments, partners and other UN agencies to help countries ensure the goals deliver results for and with every child – now and for generations to come.
