Story
October. As the nights noticeably encroach on the daylight hours, and Halloween draws ever closer, we turn our attention to the monsters that lurk in the shadows, and of man’s ignorance of them or the bold attempts to fight back against them.
Likewise, Stand Up To Cancer brings the fight to cancer, taking on the darkness that could, conceivably, affect any one of us in our life-time, either directly or indirectly.
We’ll be trying to make a difference by raising money for the charity, organising a day of Werewolf (wherein you seek the werewolves, or other monsters, hiding amongst your group of villagers) and other social deduction games (so you might find yourself targeted by cultists or gangsters in a small town or large resort, trying to locate the alien menace hidden amongst you whilst on a scientific expedition or seeking out government agent who’ve infiltrated your group of freedom fighters in a dark and oppressive dystopia).
On Sunday 27th October we'll be meeting just before Halloween to put down monsters and raise money. Appropriately enough we are holding this year’s event at the Bad Moon Cafe in South London, near London Bridge and Borough stations* from midday and into the evening.
The big game on the day will be Ultimate Werewolf Legacy, where each game effects the games that follow on. We’ll be continuing to tell the tale of a village we first brought to life last year - rest assured, new players are welcome, as new faces come and go with the passing of the seasons.
This game accommodates from 8 to 15 players, so arrive early to sign up and avoid disappointment.
We’re asking that everyone who signs up for a game on the day pays a small donation to join each game.
Thanks in advance!
