The people of Gambia have been challenged by poverty, disease and natural disasters, leaving many of them struggling to make ends meet.

We decided to team up with House of Haadi, who Insha Allah will be travelling to Gambia to distribute your donations personally.

Please donate any amount you can, you’ll be contributing towards:

1. Food distribution to families in a selected village:
• Food parcels to last up to 1 month: £50
• Rice bag - £15

2. Delivering sponsorships to Orphans and mothers, giving personal gifts/sweets:
• Orphan sponsorship - £360

3. Construct shelter for families - £2500

4. Build a well and open it for the village - £650

5. Deliver clothing and thobes to students - £10

5. Visit a deaf community and deliver an empowerment project for them.

Please note zakat is also applicable. By donating to this fundraiser, we can fulfill our obligation of Zakat and Sadaqah, and help alleviate the suffering of our fellow human beings.

The Messenger of Allah said: "Indeed charity extinguishes the Lord's anger (لَتُطْفِئُ غَضَبَ الرَّبِّ) and it protects against the evil death (وَتَدْفَعُ مِيتَةَ السُّوءِ) " [Jami` at-Tirmidhi 664]

Let us make use of the advantage of multiplying our rewards during Ramadan, especially these last 10 days. Remember that Allah gives to those who give.
