Story

On 28th September, two teams from GAMA Healthcare will set sail from Portsmouth on the overnight ferry to Saint Malo, before heading off for 3 days cycling to Cahors as part of a 50 team challenge.  The route will take us through Angers, Saumur, Limoges, Rocamadour and finally on to Cahors. We will be covering 500 miles and riding in relay format.

The two teams – The Bug Bashers and The Covid Crushers – are made up of Donal Linehan, Laurent Audibert, Natalia Stadnyk, Matt Zheng, Andy Tierling, Craig Eley and James Nickless. If we hit the donations target, some members of the team have even pledged to undergo an “aero” leg-wax live on the company’s Friday Update preceding the challenge…!!

Of the money we raise 50% will go to the Aydin Foundation, one of GAMA’s key partner charities this year. The Aydin Foundation seeks to make a positive change on the lives of people in Africa and the Asian Subcontinent by providing access to clean water that can be used for drinking and other purposes, providing education about safe sanitation, good hygiene and clean drinking water practice and helping eradicate water borne diseases and infections.

The other 50% will be distributed by Challenge Adventure between Cancer Research, British Heart Foundation & NHS Charities Together.

You will be delighted to know 100% of your donation will go to good causes; the entry costs are met by participants and event admin costs by sponsors.
