Story
A team of Gallagher cyclists are taking on a 3 day, multi-stage cycling event, covering approximately 225 miles, from just west of Milan, around the lakes of Northern Italy - an area known as 'the Italian Lake District'.
To read how they are getting on, visit their blog on the Gallagher website.
The team's commitment and resolve will be put to the test not just by the undulating terrain and distance of the event itself but by the countless hours of training in preparation for the completion of the event, which culminates in an attempt to conquer the famous MADONNA!.
A cyclist's pilgrimage, the Madonna del Ghisallo, is named after the patron saint of cycling and climbs 500m at an average gradient of 9%, over a length of 10.6km. The Madonna del Ghisallo is the signature climb of the cycling world tour event, Giro de Lombardia.
The Gallagher team continues its longstanding support of the Demelza Children's Hospice, a local charity which provides specialist care and support for children and their families with serious or terminal conditions.
The Demelza Team provide tailored care to babies, children and young adults. Their facilities, nurses, therapists and dedicated volunteers give families the time and space to feel like families again.
Please help Gallagher support the Demelza Children's Hospice team in providing such fantastic essential services to children and their families, with serious or terminal conditions.
