Story

Science does not yet understand enough about eating disorders and self-harm in young people. Around 1.2 million people in the UK are living with an eating disorder like anorexia, and more than 1/3 of young people have self-harmed at some point in their lives.

Scientists don't yet understand enough about what causes these mental health conditions, who is most at risk, how to prevent or treat them and how to help people recover from them. Like most people, we have both experienced family and friends who have suffered from these conditions.

We want to help make a difference so that other young people don't have to suffer in the same way, and we are going to walk 25km across the bridges of London with the Medical Research Foundation to raise funds for more medical research into these mental health conditions. Please consider helping us to raise funds. All donations, however large or small - even the equivalent of your daily coffee, will help to fund more vital research.

Thanks to support and income from other sources, 100% of all donations to the Medical Research Foundation will be directly invested into cutting-edge medical research.
