Sadly, 2016 has seen people I care about destroyed with the news their children have terminal cancer.  In listening to their stories and speaking with people in the medical profession, I realised that paediatric cancer is often passed over for funds into drug research.  Not only this, but
cancer is still the most common medical cause of death beyond infancy in children and young people in the UK.

I decided I had to do something to take a small step to redressing this balance - that is how I came to find Children with  Cancer UK.

Children with Cancer UK is the leading national children's charity dedicated to the fight against childhood cancer. Their aim is to determine the causes, find cures and provide care for children with cancer.

So, in April, I will be fulfilling my own "before 40" bucket list wish by running the London Marathon as part of the #CwCLittleMiss team and hopefully raising loads of cash for this great charity - I will be running fund raising events to help me hit my target between now and the marathon and will hopefully cross the line in 1 (probably broken) piece knowing my thousands of footsteps round the capital will have helped CwC UK take a step towards reducing the heartache of parents.
