Gail's BIG 50 Challenge

The 2.6 Challenge · 26 April 2020 ·
As many of you will know I will celebrate my 50th birthday in July and I have set myself the challenge of virtually travelling through every Girlguiding county in Scotland and raising some money for the Girlguiding Scotland hardship fund along the way.
I will total the number of miles that I travel every day by bike or on foot and virtually travel across Scotland. If you want to support me you are welcome to join in too! Just let me know how many miles you have travelled and I will add that to my total- which means I will go further faster! The challenge will be ongoing until I complete my tour of Scotland.
Please consider sponsoring or donating rather than sending me a birthday gift or buying me a birthday drink. I am fortunate to have my health, family and friends and I know the huge difference that Guiding makes to girls lives and your support to make an impact would really make me happy. As you can see below all charities have been impacted by COVID-19 and Girlguiding Scotland is no different. Guiding looks very different just now and we really want to make sure that it is accessible to all girls regardless of a families financial situation post Covid. Please help me to make a little difference. Thank you.
Save the UK's CharitiesGeneral fundraising has been hit very hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. Thousands of fundraising events have been cancelled and many charities, particularly smaller ones, are struggling to maintain services because of this huge reduction in income. This impacts all sectors of society from children to the elderly as well as the vital work in areas such as palliative care, serious diseases, mental health, housing support, food supplies and countless others that charities support.
