Hi
Thank you firstly for taking the time to visit my page and read about my latest adventure !!!!!
I am training hard for Strictly Learn Dance in aid of St Gemmas Hospice in leeds need your help in sponsorship.
As many of you know I have fundraised for many years for St Gemmas and it has always been very close to my heart and my familys heart, so as I begin my 40th Birthday Year I am taking part in the St Gemmas Strictly Learn Dance fundraiser.
I have 4 weeks now to perfect an Argentinian Tango and a Waltz, with my dance partner Keith. We are being coached by some fantastic people, Karen and Andrew (Edmonds Dance Studio) for our Waltz and Yohann and Janeen (Tango Yorkshire) for our Argentinian Tango, they are all working hard putting us through our paces and we are hoping to raise a huge amount.
This will end in a black tie event at Leeds Seventeen Ballroom and Restaurant on Friday 5th March 2010 - tickets for this event are available from St Gemmas or you can let me know and I will get some ordered for you - they are £10 each and promises to be a fab night done in Strictly Come Dancing Fashion - judges, outfits and everything !!!!!.
If you dont know much about the hospice, St Gemma’s provides compassionate and skilled specialist palliative care of the highest quality, both in the Hospice and in the Community. We recognise each person’s need for respect, dignity and independence as we care for adult patients, from all backgrounds, with active, progressive, advanced illnesses, and provide continuing support for their families and carers.
The annual running costs of St Gemma’s Hospice are over £7 million, more than half of which must be raised from donations and fundraising initiatives. The Hospice would not be able to care for local people with life threatening illnesses without the valuable and ongoing support of the community. Well thanks again for taking the time to read this and thank you (in advance) for your support Gail xxx
