I would really appreciate your support for Action Cancer and your encouragement for the Dambusters 10k run at Silent Valley on Sat 8th September 2012 http://born2runevents.com/?p=554

I took up running a few months ago and have really caught the running bug. Unfortunately I got carried away and did too much too soon and was unable to participate in my first 10k in June but after some physio I was able to continue my training and will run 5k uphill to the Silent Valley dam and, thankfully, 5k downhill to the finish. Your support will give me a big boost in making it across the finish line.

I thought this would be a great opportunity to raise money for charity and chose Action Cancer as cancer is an illness which has directly affected my family and friends. I also wanted to choose a local charity which helps people in Northern Ireland.
