Story
We're heading off to Poznan in Poland to run one of the most exciting half-marathons in Europe. It's our 3rd year raising money for CARF or as it is known in Portuguese ACER.
ACER is a wonderful organisation that helps children in a poor neighbourhood, south of Sao Paulo. Gabriel has visited the centre when he used to live in Sao Paulo. Michal comes from Poznan. It's a great combination.
ACER is the kind of charity where everything you donate directly impacts the kids' day-to-day life. ACER runs a a great community centre where kids can come after school. It offer football and rugby programmes. The library is great, the kids love it and ACER works hard to help the kids learn to read.
This year we will be honoured to raise £1000 and £1000 goes a long way in Brazil.
The first time we ran in Pozan we finished in a time of 2 hours and 5 minutes; the second time was in 2 hours and 1 minute, and this time we want to smash the two hour mark.
We'll have fun running and with your support we can help the kids at ACER. A donation of just £10 will contribute to keeping the centre running but we'd love you to give more! Brazil has had a difficult few years economically and we need to make sure that ACER can continue its work helping the children in this poor community.
