Story
In 2018 I spent a happy and rewarding three months in Uganda: one of best experiences of my life. Part of why it was so special was that I got to teach and get to know young people who had overcome personal hardship to be amongst the top students in their countries, and were now on a leadership development and scholarship programme to become future agents of change for their countries and continent.
I am passionate about Ashinaga's grassroots, bottom-up vision of development that uses education and training to equip compassionate leaders to initiate change, innovation, and development in their communities.
Please join me in empowering young people to help others!

I have set myself two difficult challenges:
1) Complete a game of Civilization VI in 260 turns or fewer. As I usually take around 330 turns to win (science or culture) or 290 turns (domination) this will be quite difficult!
2) Survive for 260 turns on the new Apocalypse mode, released on May 21st. This will be live-streamed on Youtube and posted here afterwards.
I'll be completing these challenges as Kongo, the Civ 6 option that is geographically closest to Uganda.

Ashinaga UK supports talented but disadvantaged orphaned students to study at world-class UK universities, develop their skills and ideas, and then return home in order to enact meaningful change. The Covid-19 pandemic has had a catastrophic effect on charities, with the cancellation of thousands of events and an estimated loss of £4 billion in funding. Ashinaga UK depends on income from fundraising, so I am playing my part in raising some essential funds.100% of the money raised is going to cover student costs. And all donations that you make will be matched by a partner, so for every pound you donate we receive two pounds, or even more if you are a UK tax-payer and are eligible for gift aid.
