Story
Dear friends,
In recent decades humanity has “consumed” the planet at a speed never seen before in history. Entire species have been eliminated with others close to extinction, forests have been cut down, water & air have been polluted, climate is warming up and our own survival (too) faces new challenges. The health of our Planet is reaching a crisis point!
As an individual fond of outdoor and a nature lover, it feels naturally to try to give back a little to the Planet. I am joining Vodafone Foundation's Your Planet campaign, to help protect the world we live, love and breathe. The fundraising is supporting the work of the charity partner Tusk (https://www.tusk.org/), a charity who has earned a reputation for providing a highly efficient solution for funding wildlife conservation programmes in Africa. Tusk have a vision for a future in which both people and wildlife can thrive across Africa.
On top of all fundraising activities, in January 2022 I will go to Africa, to take part in a 5 days trekking and exploring challenge through the Rwenzori Mountains, in Uganda, a country where Tusk supports local wildlife conservation programmes.
If you want to support the cause, I would be grateful for every penny you can donate and the planet could be a better place thanks to you.
All money raised will be matched by Vodafone Foundation and will go to Tusk. For every Euro you will donate Vodafone will add another one and funds will go to Tusk to protect wildlife at risk in Africa. My trip to Uganda is 100% self-funded.
Kindest regards,
Gabi
