Between 9-15 October this year, I will be spending 7 days trekking Kilimanjaro, from Machame Gate (1,743m) to Uhuru Peak (5,895m) and back.

I will spend 6 nights in tents, with no electricity and basic facilities, with temperatures dropping to as low as -25C.

On the final ascent day, I'll wake up at midnight and ascend through the night, hoping to make it from Barafu Camp (4,600m) to Stella Point (5,780m) in time for sunrise and to conquer Uhuru Peak (5,895m) about an hour later.
