Story
It's been almost a year since the rollercoaster of a journey began for our beautiful little Eliza. I remember being admitted to JRH and seeing the abseil take place last year and I said im going to take part in that next year (when I wasn't heavily pregnant) to raise money for the hospital that were taking care of us.
Eliza arrived mid October in 2018 and had a severe case of a condition called CDH. Despite this, she stunned all the doctors with her strength and with the support of the invaluable neonatal team, Eliza seemed to go from strength to strength. The team not only tirelessly looked after Eliza, they made sure myself and Tim had everything we needed in our time of need and made our time with Eliza so special. They showed us how to care for her with all the strange machines wires and equipment she needed, and helped us have time as a family together.
Sadly Eliza passed away a short 7 weeks after she was born, we cannot thank the NICU and all the people involved with Elizas care enough. She was a warrior throughout and so were the team looking after her.
If you can spare some money to donate to this amazing department it would be hugely appreciated, they were another side to our amazing NHS which is rarely seen or talked about and they are the heroes when everything is falling apart!
💗 In memory of Eliza 💗
