London to Brighton Cycle Ride 2019 · 15 September 2019 ·

The Do it for Charity London to Brighton Cycle Ride is a mass-participation cycle ride covering the 54 miles from Clapham Common in London to Madeira Drive on Brighton sea front, with over 4,000 riders expected to take part.

Story

At the end of last year my father was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's disease. He is still in the mild to moderate stages and is living well with it. Alzheimer’s Society has been a great source of support and information to him (and me!) and are working to hard to raise awareness of the disease.

Please sponsor me for the London to Brighton cycle ride on Sunday 15th September 2019 to help with my fundraising target for Alzheimer’s Society. I am hopeful that my employer, BNP Paribas, will match donations made up to a total of £250, so please give generously if you can. Alternatively, or additionally, your support on the (hopefully) sunny streets of London/Surrey/Sussex would be gratefully appreciated!

I will be doing the race with my sister Carys, my father’s wife Jane and my father-in-law Glyn. Many thanks to them for raising money for the same cause; feel free to sponsor them!
